En sus obras, Laila Mai White descompone su cuerpo y rostro en fragmentos, como si cada imagen buscara la mitad que nunca volvió: su hermana gemela. La enfermedad, esa sombra que acompaña cada paso, atraviesa y moldea su historia fotográfica, enseñándole a habitar lo incompleto. Entre lo visible y lo oculto, sus imágenes vibran con la tensión de lo perdido y lo que persiste.

In her works, Laila Mai White deconstructs her body and face into fragments, as if each image were searching for the half that never returned: her twin sister. Illness, that shadow accompanying every step, weaves through and shapes her photographic story, teaching her to inhabit the incomplete. Between the visible and the hidden, her images resonate with the tension of what is lost and what remains.
